Player

The player’s co-ordinates during the game are stored in $4F2 – PlayerX, $4F4 – PlayerY (and $4F6 – PlayerX, $4F8 – PlayerY). It is possible the second set of X,Y co-ordinates are used as follower variables to determine the direction of the flames, for the inertia effect.

Joystick input are stored in $472 – JoystickX, $474 – JoystickY (and $476 – JoystickX, $478 – JoystickY) and $47E for JoystickFIRE

Each direction animation has 3 frames (for each of the 8 directions), 4 frames for the four-way multifire, and 3 frames for invulnerability.
